AVALON has taken part to the Innovation Impact Study. The overall objective of this study has been to understand the interface between research, technological advancement and innovation, especially as it relates to the collaborative projects funded by the European Framework Programmes for RTD.

The European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing is a stakeholder forum that brings together the European textile and clothing industry, its research and education community, representatives of related industrial sectors and scientific disciplines as well as public authorities. The aim of the platform is develop and implement long-term industry visions and a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) to improve innovation, competitiveness and growth potential for this key industrial sector in Europe.

Covering approximately 400 members from 27 countries in Europe and continuously growing, the Platform acts as an exchange forum for the topics of industrial manufacturing: materials, equipment, components. It aims to support industry growth in this new field by the development of a common R&D and education strategy and by enabling close cooperation of SME, Industry and Research Institutions.
